A seamless wood texture with ash heartwood veneer arranged in a stack pattern. The image represents a physical area of 1917 x 4018 mm (75.5 x 158.2 inches) in total, with each individual board measuring approximately 2000 x 150 mm. The joints are filled with fine lime mortar and are 10 mm (0.4 inches) in width.
The heartwood of this Black Ash timber texture has a dark red-brown hue, typified by its tighter grain in comparison to White or American Ash. A strong hardwood, Ash is typically robust and easy to work with making it an ideal material for joinery and interior furnishing, while also polishing and staining well. This veneer is comprised of real thin-sawn, cut or peeled strips from the origin tree’s trunk which, when layered together over a backing board such as particleboard or MDF, form highly unique patterns with a variety of swirls and burls, as shown here. This particular pattern has an acrylic paint finish.
This texture uses a stack pattern. The stack pattern is the most basic of the standard patterns in architecture and interior design with each unit simply stacked one above the other and no horizontal or vertical offsets. When used in masonry construction, materials arranged in a stack bond typically require additional reinforcement when compared with a standard running bond.
This image is seamless, meaning it can be tiled repeatedly for use in architectural drawings and 3D models. It can be used as a SketchUp texture, Revit material or imported into Photoshop for use in 2D illustrations.
