A seamless brick texture with creased brick arranged in a flemish pattern

A seamless brick texture with creased brick arranged in a flemish pattern. The image represents a physical area of 1725 x 699 mm (67.9 x 27.5 inches) in total, with each individual unit measuring approximately 225 x 65mm. The joints are filled with fine lime mortar and are 10 mm (0.4 inches) in width.

Bricks have been used in architecture and construction for over 9000 years and remain one of the most popular building materials in the industry, commonly used in building facades, cladding, external and internal walls, and landscaping features. Creased bricks are so-called due to the unique finish on the brick face, which is specially applied to brick clay before the heating process. The resulting texture on an otherwise smooth surface strikes a balance between contemporary intrigue and industrial, aged, weathered aesthetic.

This texture uses a flemish pattern, which comes from the Flemish bond used brick construction. The Flemish bond alternates between stretchers which are full width units, and headers which are half width units along each row. The headers in each course are centred on the stretchers below.

This image is seamless, meaning it can be tiled repeatedly for use in architectural drawings and 3D models. It can be used as a SketchUp texture, Revit material or imported into Photoshop for use in 2D illustrations. You can download a high resolution version of this texture and a matching bump map or CAD hatch (compatible with AutoCAD and Revit) using Architextures Create with a Pro Subscription.
