The level piles in this low density carpet are short and tight, much like a Berber carpet, with puffy loops and a clear, strong, white warp fabric. The style used to create the loops in carpets can be random or create a pattern, which in this case is very linear and rigid, where the low pile nature and ribbed threading is similar to that of an Oxford weave. The loops are created by threading the yarn, usually a more durable, cost efficient synthetic or blended material in contrast to the wools used in tapestries and carpets of old, through the backing layer. The low density and comparative sparsity of loops adds durability as their short length make it harder to pull or unthread, while giving the a more level, smooth appearance than multi-level loop pile constructions as all of the pile are the same, short length.
Loop threaded carpets typically feel harsher and less cosy, but require less maintenance and are more suitable for users and visitors with dust and/or pet allergies due to collecting less dirt and are ideal for areas such as hotel lobbies, office foyers or shop and retail unit floors due to their more robust construction. Moderately low in density, this carpet is suited to reasonably busy, low foot-traffic areas in domestic and light commercial settings. The warm, welcoming, homely tones are similar to and may be used to compliment natural timbers and woven fabrics such as jute or burlap, with a strong orthogonal grain created by the banding of the troughs between the raised tops of the loops and the lower areas of fabric.
Creams and pinks create a light, airy feel for this level loop pile carpet, where the neutral creams and pastel browns characterise a material which can be used to tie complex colour and pattern schemes together, providing a calm and light background, or to compliment other natural, organic colours, textures and aesthetics. The light colours aid in the creation of bright, open spaces and allow this carpet to be used successfully in combination with a wide variety of textures, tones and patterns in homes, hotels, cafés, restaurants and other relaxed, lounge-like hospitality environments.
This image is a seamless carpet texture with level loop pile arranged in a cubic pattern. Seamless textures can be tiled repeatedly across a surface without visible seams making them useful for architectural drawings and 3D models. This image can be used as a SketchUp texture, Revit material or imported into Photoshop for use in 2D illustrations. A high resolution version of this texture is available, as well as CAD hatches and PBR maps with Architextures Pro.
