The Wiener Werkstätte, or the Vienna Workshop, was a renowned artist collective established in Vienna, Austria, in 1903. The group was founded by two Austrian artists, Josef Hoffmann and Koloman Moser, who sought to create a new, modern design style that broke away from the traditional, ornate styles that dominated the decorative arts in Vienna at the time. The Wiener Werkstätte was a significant design movement that played a key role in the development of modernist design.
