White Marble Chevron

A seamless stone texture with white marble arranged in a chevron pattern. The image represents a physical area of 1620 x 1268 mm (63.8 x 49.9 inches) in total, with each individual block measuring approximately 400 x 100 mm. The joints are filled with mortar and are 5 mm (0.2 inches) in width.

White marble is a popular stone product used within architecture and construction for both internal and external finishes. While marble is finished in a variety of colours, white marble is considered as the most natural form, due to its lack of mineral impurities. In contemporary buildings, marble is rarely a dominant material due to its relatively high cost, but is often used in columns, flooring, countertops, wall cladding, staircases, and sculptures.

This texture is an example of a chevron pattern. The chevron pattern contains a series of parallelograms which meet at their ends to form a V shape which is then repeated. The appearance of the chevron can be varied by adjusting the angle of each parallelogram. It is commonly used in interior design for parquet flooring and tile surfaces.
