Rough sawn Cherry boards retain the natural milling texture and are often machined further for furniture and joinery. Cherry timber is widely sourced from North America and occasionally from European species. The wood has a fine grain and smooth texture and develops a rich reddish brown colour over time. It is valued for cabinetry and interior joinery due to its workability and attractive appearance.
