Poplar, often referring to Yellow or Tulip Poplar (Liriodendron tulipifera), is a fast-growing hardwood widely cultivated in Europe and North America. Rough sawn boards retain the natural milling surface and are often machined further for finished products. The timber is lightweight and stable with a straight grain and is frequently used in painted joinery and interior components.
