2mm CorTen Steel is a highly sought-after weathering steel subset within contemporary architecture and landscape design, prized for its raw, industrial aesthetic. Over time, exposure to the elements triggers a natural oxidation process, transforming the surface from a smooth silver-grey mill finish into a deeply textured patina of rich rustic reds, vibrant oranges, and burnt browns. At a 2mm gauge thickness, the surface displays unique natural variations, including subtle etching, scratches, and tonal blotches that introduce organic warmth and tactile depth to building facades, cladding panels, and decorative landscape installations.
