A seamless stone texture with limestone blocks arranged in a basketweave pattern

Description

A seamless stone texture with limestone blocks arranged in a basketweave pattern. The image represents a physical area of 2430 x 2430 mm (95.7 x 95.7 inches) in total, with each individual block measuring approximately 400 x 100 mm (15.7 x 3.9 inches). The joints are filled with mortar and are 5 mm (0.2 inches) in width.

Limestone is a strong, durable stone material commonly used in architecture and construction. Famously used to construct the Great Pyramids of Egypt, limestone is frequently manufactured as bricks, block, or panels. In contemporary buildings, it is used as cladding for external walls and facades, as well as internal floor paving, tiles, and surfaces. Limestone offers a variety of colours including white, yellow, cream, or beige, and finishes including polished, rough, or brushed.

This texture uses a basketweave pattern. The pattern contains groups of tiles which form a square. Each alternating group is rotated at 90 degrees from the last creating the appearance of the tiles passing above and below each other. The pattern takes its name for its resemblance to the strands of a weave which are intertwined in the same way. The number of 'weaves' in the pattern can be adjusted to make the pattern a double basketweave, triple basketweave and so on.

This image is seamless, meaning it can be tiled repeatedly for use in architectural drawings and 3D models. It can be used as a SketchUp texture, Revit material or imported into Photoshop for use in 2D illustrations. You can download a high resolution version of this texture and a matching bump map or CAD hatch (compatible with AutoCAD and Revit) using Architextures Create with a Pro Subscription.
