Flagstone Hexagonal

A seamless stone texture with flagstone arranged in a hexagonal pattern. The image represents a physical area of 2477 x 2143 mm (97.5 x 84.4 inches) in total, with each individual block measuring approximately 300 x 100 mm. The joints are filled with mortar and are 10 mm (0.4 inches) in width.

Flagstone is a natural rock widely used in architecture and construction. Often cut into rectangular or square shapes, flagstone has historically been used for external elements such as paving slabs, flooring, roof shingles, and façade cladding. Flagstone can be stained to create a variety of tones and colours, and can be finished as a polished of rough surface.

This texture uses hexagonal tiling. This hexagonal pattern contains regular hexagon shapes with each row offset in order to interlink with one another. It is one of the three regular tilings of the Euclidean plane and is a significant structure in nature.
