Snow Leopard Print

19.6 in

A seamless fabric texture with a snow leopard print surface. The image represents a physical area of 499 x 629 mm (19.6 x 24.8 inches) in total.

A black, white and grey synthetic leopard print fabric for use on clothing, furniture, rugs and interior design projects. They greyscale nature of this fabric pattern is representative of a snow leopard’s distinctive markings, with black spots, or rosettes, surrounded by greys and silvers, on an off-white background. Leopard print differs from cheetah markings in that the spots are larger and open, with a typically darker background colour. A bold, vibrant, fashionable pattern, leopard print is commonly used for confident, statement clothing and in interior designs for draperies and curtains, or as a fabric covering for soft furnishings, such as sofas, armchairs and on bedspreads, bringing a non-conformist, contrasting flair to the room. Rising to popularity in the 1960’s, denoting opulence, strength and wealth, it has become somewhat kitsch in recent times. The eye catching, bold texture yet muted colours of this snow leopard print are simultaneously neutral, bold and versatile, expressing a particular taste, used in a range of environments, form domestic and hotel lounges and bedrooms to executive offices or event spaces, or on stage as part of a set or, more commonly, by glam rock stars during performances.
