A rib weave pattern is one of the most commonly used weave constructions for household uses such as upholstery, tablecloths and draperies due to its simple and economical production, where one weft yarn under- and overlaps one wrap yarn. This variation of the plain weave is defined by the tighter woven profiles created by the filling yarns being larger in diameter than the wrap yarns, whereby less yarns per square centimetre are visible on the surface. The rib weave profile is also suited to printing and painting due to its flatter, tighter woven surface.
A seamless fabric texture with a rib weave surface. Seamless textures can be tiled repeatedly across a surface without visible seams making them useful for architectural drawings and 3D models. This image can be used as a SketchUp texture, Revit material or imported into Photoshop for use in 2D illustrations. A high resolution version of this texture is available, as well as CAD hatches and PBR maps with Architextures Pro.
