A seamless wood texture with ash heartwood veneer arranged in a staggered pattern. The image represents a physical area of 840 x 2000 mm (33.1 x 78.7 inches) in total, with each individual board measuring approximately 1000 x 100 mm. The joints are filled with a solid fill and are 0 mm (0 inches) in width.

The heartwood of this Black Ash timber texture has a dark red-brown hue, typified by its tighter grain in comparison to White or American Ash. A strong hardwood, Ash is typically robust and easy to work with making it an ideal material for joinery and interior furnishing, while also polishing and staining well. This veneer is comprised of real thin-sawn, cut or peeled strips from the origin tree’s trunk which, when layered together over a backing board such as particleboard or MDF, form highly unique patterns with a variety of swirls and burls, as shown here. This particular pattern has an acrylic paint finish.

This texture uses a staggered pattern, in which each row is offset at random from the last. Staggered patterns are often found in brickwork, stonemasonry and in wood flooring layouts.

This image is seamless, meaning it can be tiled repeatedly for use in architectural drawings and 3D models. It can be used as a SketchUp texture, Revit material or imported into Photoshop for use in 2D illustrations.
