A seamless wood texture with western red cedar boards arranged in a stack pattern

Description

A seamless wood texture with western red cedar boards arranged in a stack pattern. The image represents a physical area of 1500 x 3000 mm (59.1 x 118.1 inches) in total, with each individual board measuring approximately 1500 x 100 mm (59.1 x 3.9 inches). The joints are filled with mortar and are 0 mm (0 inches) in width.

Western red cedar is so-called due to its origins along the northwest coast of the United States and Canada. Typically displaying a red or red-brown hue, western red cedar holds a straight grain pattern with medium or rough textures unless sanded. Due to its low cost, red cedar is a popular timber of choice for commercial architecture and construction projects, whether for structural elements, façade cladding, flooring, or roof shingles.

This texture uses a stack pattern. The stack pattern is the most basic of the standard patterns in architecture and interior design with each unit simply stacked one above the other and no horizontal or vertical offsets. When used in masonry construction, materials arranged in a stack bond typically require additional reinforcement when compared with a standard running bond.

This image is seamless, meaning it can be tiled repeatedly for use in architectural drawings and 3D models. It can be used as a SketchUp texture, Revit material or imported into Photoshop for use in 2D illustrations. You can download a high resolution version of this texture and a matching bump map or CAD hatch (compatible with AutoCAD and Revit) using Architextures Create with a Pro Subscription.
