KAVA by Tomas and Jani is an organic, plastic-free composite material made from coffee waste. It is created using a combination of coffee waste and other organic fibres such as powdered fruit stone or crushed argan and walnut shells. This specialist combination is pressed onto a chipboard or plywood with a unique formulation of binders such as bio-resin. A range of different colours and textures is achieved by using organic powders or byproducts such as ground metals, powdered marble, charcoal dust, and natural pigments.
Waste materials are often used in composites but rarely do they contain zero plastics. KAVA is the first plastic-free coffee waste material that can be used commercially.
A seamless surfaces texture with a coffee waste surface surface. Seamless textures can be tiled repeatedly across a surface without visible seams making them useful for architectural drawings and 3D models. This image can be used as a SketchUp texture, Revit material or imported into Photoshop for use in 2D illustrations.
