Glazed tile sourced from tenement stairwell in Dennistoun, Glasgow. Glasgow, Scotland is known for its tenement housing, which dates back to the 19th century and still exists today. Highly decorative and unique tiles are often found in tenement stairwells, or as they are informally known as, closes.
