Bird's eye maple is a term used to describe any maple timber product that displays tiny knots in the grain. This anomaly is believed to be caused in trees experiencing difficult growing conditions, with numerous attempts to start new buds to increase sunlight absorption. Apart from the presence of these small knots, bird’s eye maple holds a straight grain and fine texture. It is commonly used for interior applications such as residential or commercial flooring, panels, or furniture.
A seamless wood texture with a bird's eye maple surface. Seamless textures can be tiled repeatedly across a surface without visible seams making them useful for architectural drawings and 3D models. This image can be used as a SketchUp texture, Revit material or imported into Photoshop for use in 2D illustrations. A high resolution version of this texture is available, as well as CAD hatches and PBR maps with Architextures Pro.
